Facebook and Depression

Facebook Addiction and Depression
I deactivated my Facebook account about two months ago now. I’d had enough of reading about how hung over people were, how much they hate Mondays, how angry they were but “didn’t want to talk about it, ” and watching people constantly uploading pictures of them and their over exaggerated smiles on nights out to convince us (or maybe themselves) that they are happy, fun loving and lead exciting lives. Give me a break.
I also don’t miss the arguments over Facebook. I’m not going to ask how many of you in a relationship have argued because of Facebook, but rather how many arguments have you had? My guess would be over 80% of all your lovers tiffs nowadays are the result of Social Networking.
“Who is that girl commenting on your EXTRA LINKS REMOVED?”
“Why is he liking all your pictures?”
Sound familiar?
My biggest issue with Facebook – and the primary reason why I deactivated – is the risk of depression it can cause. I’m not saying it’s going to become a pandemic, but with so many socialites on there taking every opportunity to show off, only posting the best bits of their lives (which arguably they should) it can lead to a feeling of inferiority, insecurities and jealousy in those who aren’t doing as much with themselves.
The problem is that a lot of people will only post their “best bits, ” so to speak. They’re not going to air their dirty laundry out but will showcase each and every time they’re doing something they feel is worth sharing. So is this a EXTRA LINKS REMOVED representation of their lives? Probably not, everybody has their insecurities and doubts within. But for someone who has lower self-esteem, they won’t recognise that fact. Their fears and insecurities will instead be amplified by having other peoples lives thrown in their face.
To get a bit technical, a person will associate particular events, i.e. seeing people leading good lives on Facebook, with negative thoughts, i.e. feeling left out. This will become the norm process, so every time someone see’s a picture or status about an event that they didn’t attend, their thought process will lead them to feel left out, rejected and inferior to others. If you’re a smart ass, then you’ll know this is the area of Cognitive Psychology.
Cyber bullying is also a massive, massive area of concern and Facebook is the biggest platform for it. Poor kids, back when I was in school if you were bullied you’d get it between school times and at least then you could go home and relax. Today it is a non-stop 24/7 wave of abuse that doesn’t give children a chance to breath. What makes it worse is Facebook means more and more people can see the taunts and abuse, and ultimately join in. It’s difficult to police and control, especially if the victim doesn’t speak out – which they almost never do in cases of bullying.
This is not all to say Facebook isn’t without its quality points. For people who emigrate it’s an essential way to keep in touch with family back home, others reunite with long lost relatives and friends, and others even EXTRA LINKS REMOVED. It’s not got 900 million users for nothing.
But I fear for the long term. For all the heart warming stories Facebook creates, think of all the damage it does. Cyber bullying, broken relationships and “Facebook depression, ” are all outcomes from social networking. “On Facebook…” is becoming a more and more common phrase to the police, teachers and therapists.
After all, the world was full of heart-warming stories long before social networking arrived, but there wasn’t cyber-bullying. Arguments between couples were actually relevant to real life behaviour. And people’s insecurities weren’t intensified by artificial causes such as a photo album of someone’s happiest moments only.
Like I said I removed my account about two months ago and I feel liberated for it. I’ve remembered how to phone, text and visit people again because now I HAVE to in order to keep in touch. Facebook created the illusion that you see people all the time thanks to their status updates and pictures, which ultimately led to a lot of lost time.
Plus I love not having to read about what people are having for dinner every night.

Following Tweets to Find the Best Restaurant

following tweets to find the best retaurant
Twitter is currently being used by millions of people. The site is a great way to stay updated with friends, family, and even celebrities. One thing that people often do not think about when they are using Twitter is that it can also be a fantastic way to find a new restaurant and to receive promotions when dining out. There are a couple of ways that you can use tweets to find a great new restaurant and to actually save money when you venture out. Your dining experience will be fresh and new when using these online features.
There are a couple of ways for you to find a new restaurant by using tweets found on Twitter. One way would be to follow foodie blogger accounts. Foodies are people who tend to visit restaurants and blog about them. They will tell you all of the details concerning their visit. Because most of these bloggers go undercover when visiting a restaurant, they do not receive special attention when being served their meal. The blogger will tell you if it took long to receive their meal at the restaurant and if the food was not up to par. Many of these foodie bloggers have their own Twitter accounts that you can easily follow by visiting the Twitter and pressing one button.
The foodie blogger will then post tweets sporadically to tell you if they went to a new restaurant, where it was located, and what it was like. If you live in the vicinity of the blogger, you may even be tempted to try out the new restaurant yourself. Because of this, it may be a good idea for you to follow a blogger who is located somewhere near your home. This makes it easy for you to actually relate to their tweets and find a great restaurant without having to travel hundreds of miles.
Another way to find a restaurant when using tweets would be to search for them using the search bar on the site. Look for restaurants in your area and simply follow them. From there, you will be able to be kept updated when it comes to promotions and other followers and what they think. By following a restaurant's tweets, you may be inclined to actually visit the place and dine there with your loved ones. The entire process of finding the best new restaurant in your area can really be as simple as logging onto your computer and using Twitter to keep updated on new and exciting places.

Changing Security-An Inside Look at One Time Passwords

Authentication is widely used by businesses as a way to ensure privacy of certain information. Financial institutions use authentication to provide their customers with access to their own accounts. Healthcare facilities use authentication to ensure they’re treating the right patient with the right procedures.
There are numerous forms of authentication available today. Some are more involved than others, and some require the use of multiple factors in order to gain access to information. The type of authentication used by a company is totally their decision.
One of the more popular authentication tactics is the use of one time passwords, otherwise known as OTP. Put simply, an OTP is a password that is given to an individual for one time use to gain access. Once the password has been used, it is no longer valid and will no longer work to provide access.
What is the purpose of one time passwords?
Like any other authentication tactic, one time passwords help protect companies and their customers from fraudulent activity. Most hackers and scam artists rely on certain tools to access information, such as passwords, that people use to gain access to accounts or restricted areas of buildings. When companies use one time passwords, the risk of hackers and scam artists gaining information is eliminated, because once a password is used, it will no longer work.
How are OTPs delivered?
Since OTPs change quickly, it’s important that they are provided to the right individuals in a time efficient manner. For this reason, there are multiple ways that companies provide this information to their recipients. Some companies give their employees and/or clients a certain utensil, such as a token. Information including the new password is then sent to this token, giving the person access. Other companies simply send the new password to a mobile device or electronically through email. And then there are some who simply print out the password and hand it to the intended recipient.
Some companies generate their OTPs on a daily basis. For example, if you work for a company that requires OTP to access information on your computer, your employer may only require you to log in once at the beginning of the day and logout at the end of the day. Then, the following work day, you will be provided with a new password.
On the other hand, there are companies that change the password every time a user logs in or out of a certain system. For example, if you are trying to access information on a website that uses OTP, and you need to access this site multiple times throughout the day, you may be given a new password for every log in.
How are OTPs created?
Some OTPs are created based on time. The company that generates the OTP can have a new line of passwords sent to employees and clients at a certain time every day.
Some OTPs are created once the OTP before it has been used. For example, if you have an OTP and you log into a website using the OTP, you may receive your next OTP before you are even done using the site.
How much does implementing OTPs cost?
The cost of OTPs will vary on the type and extensiveness of your desires. If you are looking for an OTP to print out new passwords on paper or implement it to exist on devices you already own, then OTP is extremely cost effective. On the other hand, if you want a more intricate OTP experience that pushes new info out to new devices that you currently don’t have in your possession, you’re looking at spending a significant amount of money.
The bottom line is that authentication is becoming the norm, whether you want to access an area of a hospital, look at your online bank account or even log in to your social network. Companies are implementing tactics to keep you and your information secure, and using one time passwords is one of these options.

5 Reasons You Should Post a Video About a Product You Like

It is a widely known fact that videos about a product can propel a business that sells the product in terms of creating media attention, conversion rates, mass interest, and revenue. Posting a video about a product you like is a crucial element of marketing. In particular, posting a video about a product you like on YouTube or Pinterest is beneficial especially if the product or the business is new. This article is designed to highlight 5 reasons why you should post a video about a product you like.

Conversion Rates
Posting a video about a product increases the product's website's conversion rates. Conversion rates are very important especially for a new business. If the company that sells the product has a website, posting a video that has a link directing visitors to the website can greatly increase the rate at which visitors to the site make a purchase. According to a recent study, 85% of people are more likely to purchase a product if they have seen a video about the product.
The other reason why you should post a video about a product is that it will increase people's understanding about the product. For instance, an explainer video can be posted on a site like YouTube to offer details about the product. A video also helps to inform potential customers about what the product can do for them. According to research, just one minute of video is equivalent to 1.8million words. The fact that people do not always prefer reading makes video a perfect means of offering potential customers information about the product. Additionally, because video is also accompanied by audio, the chances of the viewers of the video retaining the information in the video about the product are greater. Research has shown that people can remember approximately 68% of what they see and hear on a video, while they can only remember 10% of what they see.
Gain Interest
Posting a video about a product you like also enables you to gain mass interest. Video has a far reaching appeal, and according to a recent survey 70.8% of people who use the internet watch online videos. This means that people prefer and actually love videos, and if the video that you post is funny or inspiring, the entire world will show interest.
Another reason why you should post a video about a product that you like is that it helps to improve a website's SEO. A key-word focused explanation, some relevant tags, and a strategic title is all that is required to harness the benefits of video SEO. The video could also include building links in the description to direct viewers back to your website. According to research, Google universal searches include video in approximately 38% of all searches.
Finally, you should post a video about a product that you like so as to inspire brand evangelists. Video is another type of social media, and it is great for inspiring brand evangelists because people are more willing to share interesting videos that they find online. This goes a long way in attracting mass interest.

7 tips for twitter beginners

Twitter is a great way to connect with friends and, if you have a business or blog, your target market. But like any social networking, learning to use Twitter from scratch can be a bit overwhelming, and it's easy to get frustrated when you don't automatically have thousands of followers. So today, I put together seven of my best tips for Twitter beginners.
Tip #1: Be active every day.
It's hard to be successful on Twitter if you're only there once in a blue moon. In order to build your following and get more retweets, you have to be there every single day (or as often as possible). If you're active (and interesting) people will start to notice you.
Tip #2: Follow people.
People are wary of following anyone who isn't following anyone in return. You don't have to follow back everyone, but it is important to get out there and find interesting people to follow. This is how people will find you at first. So, unless you're a famous celebrity, don't hesitate to hit that follow button.
Tip #3: Keep your tweets short and tweetable.
If you use every bit of the 140 character limit, people don't have any space to retweet you with their own comments. Worse yet are people who tweet one thought over the course of multiple tweets. That's not in the spirit of Twitter. 99% of the time, you should keep your tweets as short as possible so people are more encouraged to retweet.

Tip #4: Use hashtags.
Hashtags (anything that starts with #) are ways for you to join a conversation about a specific topic. You can join Twitter "chats" or "parties" were people use a specific hashtag at a specific time to talk to one another or you can simply use any hashtag you want to find other people tweeting about the same topic. In both cases, this is a great way to find people to follow (and for people to find you as well).

Tip #5: Be a giver.
On Twitter, don't just throw out your links and then wonder why no one cares. You have to be a giver on Twitter! Retweet others' links, spend time replying to them (just use @ and their username), and be interested in your followers. If you show people some love, they'll show it back to you.

Tip #6: Fill out your profile.
Who are you? Your tweets alone might not tell me. You want people to know who you are in less than three seconds. So, fill out your profile to include a headshot, a link back to your website if you have one, and a few words about yourself.
Tip #7: Tell people you're on Twitter.
If you already have an audience elsewhere, like on Facebook or through an email list, tell those people that you're now on Twitter. Make an announcement, put buttons on your website, and get your current friends to follow you. Once you start to build a following, it's much easier to find and get new people to follow you. But you have to start somewhere!

4 tips to successfull pinterest for business

There are many businesses out there that want to join Pinterest but are not sure how to use it for their business. Some companies think that Pinterest is only beneficial to those that can share images of their products and services that fit within the predetermined Pinterest categories, but any business can find success on Pinterest if they know how to use it.
Pinterest is about sharing images of things that are interesting or entertaining, but also providing a link for the user to gain more information. It’s a great way for your company to build exposure and to also generate traffic back to your website.
So if you want to start using Pinterest for business, you need to use implement the following tips.
Don’t brag about yourself.
Yes, you ultimately want to generate interest in your brand, but if you’re constantly self-promoting, you’re not going to build a Pinterest following. Make sure that you promote yourself and others in the industry or other items that interest you. Pinterest is a great way to share the love with other businesses, and if you are nicely promoting others, these others will do the same for you.
As a good rule of thumb, create multiple boards for industry-related items, and then have one board designated to your company. Throw a few items on the board every now and then, but make it a priority to fill the other boards first. When you intrigue someone with one of your boards, they will end up on your profile and looking at the other boards you’ve created, which will then lead them to the board about you to help them learn, well, more about you.
Tell a story.
Post pictures from an event and have them lead back to your site with details about who was there and what it was for. People will react to real images more often than stock images, so if you can use photos to tell a story, you’ll generate a great deal of interest in your board.

See what your audience likes.
Pinterest is a great way to get in the minds of your audience. Pay attention to what pins get the most comments, likes or repins. This will help you determine what aspect of your company is the most appreciated and enjoyed by your audience. For example, if you are a clothing store and you created pins for your new fall line, pay attention to what item gets pinned the most. This will give you insight into what item will be the most popular sale or help you determine what type of fashion items to purchase for the next season. If you have multiple boards, take note of which boards are getting the most traffic. You will then know that the content on this board is the most interesting, so you can tailor future pins to give your users what they want.
Be human.
Your audience will respond better if you show your company on a personal level. Instead of focusing on the products and services of the business, make sure you also add a bit of fun to the mix to show that your company is more than just brick and mortar.
When you use Pinterest with these tips in mind, you’ll have a better experience using the new social network for your business. Don’t constantly self-promote, share valuable stories, show the human side of your business and find out more about your audience. If you can do all this, having a successful Pinterest campaign will be a piece of cake.

6 Ways to Boost Your Rankings Using Google Authorship

seo tips
Creating a personal brand is incredibly valuable toward building and strengthening great relationships. After all, you’re always going to have more trust in recommendations from your own circle of friends.
nielsen-degree-of-trust-advertising
This study from Nielsen strongly backs this up, with 90 percent of people trusting recommendations from people they know. In comparison, only 41 percent trust search engine results!
That stat alone shows the importance of why Google had to become more social. If searchers are given more buying trust in their results, then advertisers are going to get a better return on investment. And Google authorship appears to be a key part of their solution toward achieving this, essentially merging personalized search with your social circle.
So what can you do to capitalize on this?

1. Build a Personal Brand Online

Google have realized just how important social media is as an indicator toward assessing the quality of a website. And because in many ways social media is more about personal branding, (as opposed to company branding) authorship starts to make a lot more sense.
Google doesn’t want to just measure the influence of a brand profile on Twitter/Facebook/Google+ – it wants to know about its employees, its writers, and online fans/followers. Treat your own reputation management seriously and look to build a strong profile on key social sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, etc.
If you’re not an active blogger, you really should start now. It’s never too late! Blogging is a great way to build a personal brand – plus it opens doors to further opportunities such as writing on higher profile sites, conference/event speaking or media interviews, meaning that you can leverage your online profile even further.

2. Setup Google Authorship For All the Websites You Write On

By connecting your Google+ profile with all of the websites you publish content on, it means that your profile is going to be displayed whenever an article/blog post that you’ve written appears in Google’s search results.
On its own this should naturally increase your following – because people will also click through to your Google+ profile as well. So that’s already helping to build your profile and make you more influential.
Plus it’s going to get you extra traffic by positively influencing rankings within your social circle. Which is also another key reason Google promotes this: it pushes large volumes of traffic through to Google+ and gives users a reason to re-visit.

3. Use Google+ Daily

Even if you have to force yourself to do it – try spending a small amount of time each day commenting and sharing your connections content, not just your own, to strengthen those connections.
By making a small effort each day, you’ll gradually start to build up a stronger profile.

4. Use Tools & Interact With Influencers in Your Niche

Firstly identify the key influencers in your industry. Tools like FollowerWonkTopsy andFindPeopleOnPlus are great for this.
Then get their attention – definitely don’t overdo it by stalking them and replying to everything they say. But make the effort to interact with them occasionally and share their content and hopefully this will go both ways.
In Twitter you can build private lists of people you want to interact with more frequently. Why not do the same with a Google+ circle too?
If you can start getting retweets from people with 10,000+ followers it’s likely to help build your social reach. And again, the same rules apply with shares on Google+.
Another great tool is Google Ripples (see this guide on SEOmoz to show how to use it). Basically, it means you can see who the influential people are when sharing a post and how far it has reached. See this screenshot for the recent announcement of Google Drive:
google-ripples-google-drive

5. Hire Great Writers With Strong Social Profiles

This is one of the most important lessons to learn. Finding the right people is critical. Making mistakes in new hires can set you back massively.
Take the time to find someone who is great, as opposed to someone who “can do the job.” It’s much more rewarding in terms of the results you can achieve.
This fits in incredibly well with Google authorship – personally this is something I looked for in a writer beforehand anyway. But now there is even more incentive to find a writer who has a great social profile and can reach out to their own audience and network.
In many ways, authorship is almost a Panda-style algorithm update, meaning that Google will reward quality over quantity. Look for top writers within your industry to hire – forget about the $10-a-go copywriting services and find an actual individual who can help promote yourself my using sites such as the Problogger Job Board or AuthorPress and most importantly reach out to your own blog and social network.
If Google is going to measure the influence of a writer’s social profile when ranking content, you should do the same when looking to hire them too!

6. Meet Bloggers and Writers in Person

Meet people in real life. Go to industry events, find blogger meet-ups – figure out where these guys hangout and get to know them. But do it offline – it’s far more personal!
Recently I analyzed the people I had most frequently interacted with on Twitter using WhoReTweetsMe.com because I wanted to see how many of these people I’d actually met in person. Even I was surprised by the results, I’d met 88 out of the top 100!
Having a personal brand is a great first step – but really getting out there and meeting people is the way to take it to the next level.

What Impact Will Authorship Have to Rankings?

At the moment it’s unclear how much of a direct impact authorship has, or will have, to influencing rankings. However, even if it’s not a ranking factor just yet, Google authorship and Google+ already influences personalized search results – which in itself can boost the rankings for connections within your social circle. This opens up huge opportunities for individuals, because it means Google is likely to reward you personally for being an authority online.
Google are also fully aware that a website’s reputation is no longer just based on links. People will much more commonly tweet a link now than they would blog about it, so to ignore social from their algorithm long-term would make no sense to them if they want to continue providing the most relevant set of search results possible. Which of course they do!
It seems pretty clear that this is the way Google intends on heading. There’s no reason not to set up Google authorship. So get in there sooner rather than later

How To Get Your New Posts Indexed Faster By Google

Every Blogger wants their new posts to be crawled and indexed by Google but it’s not as easy as you think. There’s no guarantee if Google will even crawl them or not.
Keep maintaining your blog for the entrance in search results. If you want to understand why your new posts are not crawled by Google than take a look at the points below.
  • Optimize posts with relevant keywords: Whenever you published a new post, Google bots will jump on your post. If you have optimized your post with relevant keywords than your post will be crawled soon, So always use relevant keywords to your blog posts if you want to get crawled your post.
  • Submit your blog sitemap: It is the basic step and should be done because if you submit your blog sitemap on Google webmaster tools, it will get you indexed faster.
  • Interlink your posts: Everyone wants to get crawled their pages faster but it depends on many factor but you can still increase your index rate by interlink your posts and you can do it by various plugins such as SEO Smart Links.
  • Get Backlinks From Everywhere: In order to get indexed faster and faster, you have to get backlinks from everywhere (Social media sites, high PR blogs, forums etc). Share your posts to Facebook and Twitter.
Do not think of all done after you’ve indexing by Google. Always take care of your old posts too.

Google SEO Tips

Seo Tips Seo Tips and Tricks SEO for Google

1) Content is King – Let’s face it if your website content does not reflect in a relevant way what your business is there is really little chance of it succeeding in terms of the search engines.
2) Localisation counts – It’s now widely know that the likes of Google are putting greater focus on highly contextual and localised results. So, as always if you want to target the UK – Host in the UK, have a UK IP and to target local results be mindful about geographic areas with your keyword research.
3) Domain Name Domination – If you really really want to rank for a very generic phrase or indeed have any chance of reaching a good rank then the domain name is often key. Make certain where at all possible that the domain name contains the keyword(s) that you would like to rank for.
4)Keyword Research – Many use tools like Word-tracker and Keyword Discovery or Google itself  to find those rich keywords that will bring traffic to a website. Fine, but think more about Google Instant for example. Whilst on the subject of website traffic, is it converting traffic? THINK about what will convert.
5) Back-links- Yep, everyone wants those all-important back-links. Some pay for them ( No really??) Let’s face it the value of someone who is RELEVANT in your sector linking to you will always remain high despite how the algorithmic changes.
6) Your website code counts – If the coding on your website isn’t up to scratch then how do you honestly expect a search engine to interpret it and then magically come up with the results you wanted to see in search.
7)Social Media- There is no escaping the rise of Twitter etc. But be aware, you NEED a strategy for social media to work for you and your business. Think about what angle your tweets will be coming from, how you may deal with customers who directly criticise your service online. Social Media should now ALWAYS be incorporated into any serious online marketing campaign.
8)Images- People are now much more visually focused when it comes to the information they are presented with online. With the arrival of the Ipad, smart phones and tablet devices we can expect that many will consider a websites value by the way in which it looks. YES Google can interpret images and read them, so make sure everything is labeled up correctly.
9) I Have just mentioned mobile devices. Which of course are now ever more prevalent in today’s society. Think about optimising your website for mobile viewing. How does it look on an IPhone? Or a Blackberry?
10) Remember most importantly to enjoy the experience of optimising a website. The growth in visitors will surely spur you on to keep going. But there WILL be dull days, where you think all that work you put into the website has been in vain. Don’t give up– press on!

what is SEO(search engine optimisation)

Search Optimisation or Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is a form of marketing designed in the nineties with the advent of internet marketing with more and more companies  seeking to interact and engage customers online. This form of marketing is key for any company who wants to get noticed online as it optimizes the web sites on the internet and helps in the visibility of the company’s profile on the website. This ensures online customers to seek and find your websites easily.

In today’s scenario with the almost every company online. how do you get your company to be more visible than your competitors.  This form of marketing gives you the cutting edge over the others. For.e.g. if a prospective customer is looking to buy sports equipment in a specific area and on the search portal types Sports equipment in that specific area,  he will usually get a list of maybe 100 or more companies. It is not possible for the customer to go through all the pages and usually we find the customer making his choice with the first two pages of his search results. How then do you get your company to appear in the first two pages is, in a nutshell, what SEO is all about.
The process of SEO basically works on the following principles:
Web Crawling
Indexing
Searching
This is an automated process (an ideal example of it is the most used search portal Google) where the search engines are optimized to define the most relevant web sites when a customer is searching on the internet. These spiders run around relevant websites index them in accordance to their relativity through keywords and tag lines and pop up the information on regular lists with the headers of the site and a brief information on the services or products offered.
The  SEO link building team effectively optimizes the website informative, ease of navigation,  information and ensures that the many intricate components for an effective SEO like content, link building, optimization of keywords, affiliate programs, advertising and of course pure, active and constructive work are properly constructed. There are underhand cheaper methods to achieve these too, but they are never consistent and sustainable and could be disastrous by  getting you black listed where you fail to make it to search results for the next 12 months.
Therefore it is extremely important to choose your link building campaigner who will choose the correct construct for your site making it both effective and efficient. You need to be absolutely sure that the your link building and website constructor knows what he is doing so that he can ensure the correct link building path for a long term and sustainable ranking in the SEO search portals.
Therefore you will need somebody with both the experience and the technological expertise to build an effective link building design on your website to keep you in the top of the rankings of all search portals.Continuous updates and reviews on your website also ensure higher SEO rankings on any search portal.

how to : submit your site to ASK

How Do I Submit My Site or blog To Ask.com

Ask.com is doing a return back and getting your site listed in their search engine is well worth the time and effort. Submitting your site or blog into Ask.com is a great way to help you gain more traffic from sources other than Google. It is a good idea to invest time and create strategies on pulling in traffic from multiple sources. If you loose a source but have other sources to fall back on, your site will not suffer from a huge loss in traffic.

Submit Your Site To Ask.com

Before you can submit your site to Ask.com you need to have sitemap.xml.

  • If you use WordPress, you can find information about adding sitemap.xml by visiting this page. If you use Blogger, you can find what you need by visiting this page.
  • Once you have a sitemap.xml file in place you can then submit your sitemap into Ask.com This process is very simple

how to : find a SEO(search engine optimization) specialist

Content is everything.Search engines love content, especially if it is unique. Build a quality website and become the head on your niche. You will soon find the traffic flowing in and your servers will be bloating with bandwidth.nice to hear it right? ;)

Search engine directory submissions would rather be a smart decision to make for your marketing business. They are different from the search engine submissions directly. It is effective to have your website registered at Google or any other directory. Keep in mind to question your SEO specialist if they are adding your website to the search engines or the directories.
While one can never be sure about the exact ranking a website will get, there is a certain minimum level that must be ensured by any consultant worth his salt. So, this is our first important question, and if the consultant hesitates in giving a firm answer, you can be sure that you are dealing with someone who doesn't know his business inside out.
An SEO specialist should have a reputation or a good amount of experience in handling optimization of web sites successfully. The specialist should have a record of dealing with different types of design features as well as development languages. Always make it a point to ask for client references and check their portfolio.
You should also inquire the local SEO service providers of what keywords they are going to use for the research. If he or she is specific about the keyword listings regarding your business, look for someone who provides and uses miscellaneous combination of keywords and researching techniques.
A company that is involved in the online world needs to draw more traffic. If this does not happen, then the company is bound to lose money each passing day. But how can this actually be achieved? The services of an SEO specialist must be hired in order to improve the search engine ranking of the company's site. It is also through the help of the SEO specialist that the company can boost the chances of attracting traffic from the search engine going to the site in a natural manner.
Now for writing an advertisement, it is a little different. If you are dealing with Google Adwords, you will already have a set number of keywords that will go into the advertisement. A good SEO specialist will be able to not only format but also write the ad with the correct amount of keywords in it while making it easy to read as well as well as attention grabbing.
When dealing with a professional SEO specialist, you need to make sure that they have done the work they say they have done. Ask your professional SEO consultants if they can show you a report that shows rankings through many search engines for six months. Make sure the report that is shown to you is in a format that you can easily understand. Professional SEO services are not cheap and finances will have to figure into the equation.
If you get your search query report going in your account with Google, then you can really get a feel for what sort of words people are finding a site for in the early phase. Then you can build out the site according to what the market's telling you are high conversion type keywords. Everything I do is focused around buying keywords and going for the conversion.
With these identified an SEO specialist can make suggestions on how to improve your own site optimisation by finding elements that your competitors are doing well with and what they may have missed. This is very important information for your website. They can also recommend amendments to be made to your website such as new content, blogs, change of navigation and also identify what isn't working and how to correct it, this could mean in some cases a site change or update which sounds like a tall order but normally isn't and can dramatically help your traffic increase.
